Terms of Use

By using the NDU E-Library system, you agree to the following terms.

Eligibility

The system is available exclusively to registered students, academic staff, and administrative staff of Niger Delta University.

Loan Rules

Books must be returned by the due date. The standard fine is ₦50 per day for overdue items. A maximum of 3 books (students) or 5 books (staff) may be borrowed simultaneously.

Renewals

Loans may be renewed up to 2 times, provided the book has not been reserved by another user and the account is in good standing.

Reservations

Reservations are held for 3 days. Failure to collect within this period will result in automatic cancellation and release of the book.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity on your account. Do not share your login credentials. Report lost or stolen credentials immediately.

Damage & Loss

Users are responsible for any damage to or loss of borrowed items. Replacement costs will be charged in addition to any applicable fines.

Suspension

Accounts with unpaid fines exceeding ₦2,000 or with 2+ overdue books may be suspended until obligations are settled.

Amendments

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the system constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
