We collect your name, email address, student/staff ID number, department, and borrowing activity to operate the library management system.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to manage library loans, reservations, fines, and account notifications within NDU. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Data Retention

Active accounts and borrowing records are retained for the duration of your enrollment or employment. Accounts inactive for more than 5 years may be archived.

Security

All passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized library staff and system administrators.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting the library administration at library@ndu.edu.ng.

Cookies

We use session cookies only to maintain your logged-in state. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Changes to This Policy

Any changes to this privacy policy will be communicated via the library notice board and the system announcement feature.
